Abstract / Introduction

The construction industry relies on timely and efficient procurement of materials such as cement, bricks, steel, wood, and tiles. However, traditional procurement methods are time-consuming, lack price transparency, and face inventory mismanagement.

This project aims to develop a mobile and web-based e-commerce platform that connects wholesalers, retailers, suppliers, and customers in the construction industry. The platform will enable bulk purchases at discounted rates for wholesalers while also serving retail buyers with flexible pricing and smaller quantity options.

The system will feature real-time inventory tracking, price comparison, supplier bidding for bulk orders and integrated logistics tracking to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Functional Requirements:

1.  User Roles & Authentication

·         Admin Panel: Manage products, orders, and users.

·         Wholesaler Panel: Add bulk pricing, manage inventory, and accept large orders.

·         Retailer Panel: Browse materials and place smaller orders.

·         Customer Panel: Order construction materials with flexible pricing.

2.  Product & Inventory Management

·         Add/Update/Delete Materials – Cement, bricks, steel, wood, tiles, etc.

·         Stock Management – Real-time inventory tracking.

·         Bulk Order Discounts – Different pricing for wholesalers and retailers.

·         Low Stock Alerts – Notifies suppliers when stock is low.

3.  Order Management & Tracking

·         Order Placement – Customers can select quantity and place orders.

·         Automatic Invoice Generation – Generates PDF invoices for buyers.

·         Payment Status Updates – Paid/Pending/Failed notifications.

4.  Pricing & Payment Integration

·         Dynamic Pricing – Wholesale vs. retail pricing system.

·         Multiple Payment Methods – Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, Cash on Delivery.
