Abstract/Introduction

Children are usually at risk for various diseases as their immune system have not yet grown sufficiently to fight against these diseases. Therefore, these children need the necessary vaccination on time to prevent them from lethal diseases and should have proper access to the healthcare facilities (Centers). However, this is a challengeable task for many parents to approach the healthcare centers because of having no proper (or self) transportation and other facilities. Kids Vaccination Booking System (KVBS) application enable the parents to book the visit of healthcare staff to vaccinate their kid(s) at home. The parent book the visit(s) through an online form at the time and date of their own and then the health workers will vaccinate the kids by approaching them at home.

Functional Requirements:

A set of functional requirements of the proposed system may include the following.

1.      The users (parents) must be able to register themselves.

2.      The users are able to edit/update their profiles.

3.      There must be a login process for users/Admin to access the application.

4.      The users must be able to book the visit of health worker at the time and date of their own choice.

5.      The application enables the users to change/update their booked visit (if needed or they want).

6.      The application enables the healthcare center’s staff (or admin) to add workers, delete

workers and update their information etc.

7.      The application enables the healthcare staff or admin to add/delete/update vaccination they provide.

8.      The application should store the information of all those kids who have vaccinated.

9.      The application should provide feedback (confirmation or rejection of visit) to the users.

10.  The application should also generate various reports like, list of Kids vaccinated, list of vaccinated kids area wise, weekly and monthly list of vaccinated kids, list of kids vaccinated for a particular vaccination etc.

Note: Make sure that the above list is a sample of functional requirements; students do not need to be limited with these only. Students are supposed to think (or visit the problem domain) and implement some other functional requirements not mentioned in above list.
