Abstract / Introduction:

The Online Islamic Quiz Application is a web-based platform designed to provide users with an engaging and educational experience by testing their knowledge of Islamic teachings, history, and practices. The platform allows users to register, participate in quizzes, receive instant feedback, and track their performance over time. With features like a timer, multiple-choice questions, and a scoring system, the application ensures an interactive and competitive environment. Users can also download their quiz results in PDF format for future reference. Built with a responsive design using Bootstrap, the platform is accessible across all devices, offering a seamless user experience.

 

Functional Requirements:

Admin Role:

·         Admin oversees platform management. The admin has access to user accounts and quiz data for monitoring.

·        Admin Panel:

o    Manage User Accounts: Add, edit, suspend, or delete accounts.

o    Moderate Quizzes: Approve, reject, or remove quizzes that do not adhere to guidelines.

o    Monitor Platform Activity: Review quiz statistics and track user engagement.

 

User Role:

Users can register, log in, participate in quizzes, and track their performance.

1.      Quiz Participation:

o    Users can register and log in to the platform.

o    Users can select quizzes from available categories (e.g., Quran, Hadith, Islamic History).

o    Users can start a quiz and answer multiple-choice questions within a set timer.

o    Users receive instant feedback on their answers and can view their score at the end of the quiz.

2.      User Profile:

o    Users can create a profile, including:

§   Personal Information (Name, Email, Password)

§   Quiz History: Track performance, scores, and participation history.

o    Users can download their quiz results in PDF format.

3.      Quiz Features:

o    Timer: Each quiz has a countdown timer to ensure users complete it within the specified time.

o    Multiple-Choice Questions: Quizzes consist of multiple-choice questions with one correct answer.

o    Scoring System: Users earn points for each correct answer, and their total score is displayed at the end of the quiz.

o    Instant Feedback: Users receive immediate feedback on whether their answer was correct or incorrect after submitting each question.

o    Performance Tracking: Users can track their performance over time through a dashboard that displays their quiz history and scores.

 

Tools:

·         Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap

·         Back-end: PHP

·         Database: MySQL (phpMyAdmin)

·         Server: XAMPP (Web Application Server)

Note:

·         These are the basic requirements of the application. Students may add further functionalities to make the application more useful.

·         Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) will not provide any kind of hardware for this project; a student must arrange the required hardware by himself/herself.

·         VU will not pay for any license of the software, the libraries/toolkits/APIs used in this project.
