Abstract / Introduction

The Online Medicine Shopping system is designed to simplify and digitize the process of buying and managing medicines online. It provides a computerized data storage facility where users can easily search and retrieve records related to medicines, suppliers, customers, and billing. The system ensures real-time stock updates, making inventory management accurate and efficient while reducing manual effort. Customers can browse and purchase medicines conveniently from home, while administrators can maintain supplier and stock details with minimal time and effort.

The platform is user-friendly, requiring only basic computer knowledge to operate, making it suitable for both staff and customers. It also enhances data security, reduces paperwork, and improves overall efficiency by automating daily operations like billing, order tracking, and stock monitoring. Ultimately, this system streamlines the medicine shopping process, offering speed, accuracy, and convenience.

Functional Requirements:

The system will have two types of users, the end-users or customer and the administrator for admin related work. Following are the functional requirements of the project:

        User Management

        Customer registration, login, and profile update.

        Admin login to manage the system.

        Medicine Management

        Add, edit, delete, and view medicine details.

        Automatic update of stock when an order is placed.

        Supplier Management

        Maintain supplier records with contact details.

        Link suppliers to medicines for easy tracking.

        Customer Management

            Store basic customer details.

            Add/update/delete customers.

            Maintain customer order history.

•  Shopping & Orders

            Customers can search medicines by name or category.

            Add medicines to a shopping cart.

            Place an order and generate a bill.

            View order status (Pending, Completed, Delivered).

        Orders Management

            The admin can see the list of orders (Pending, Completed, Delivered).

            Can update/delete order.
