Abstract/Introduction

SmartPark is a web-based system designed to help drivers find available parking slots in nearby parking areas and reserve them in advance. The system displays real-time availability (manual or simulated) and allows users to book a slot, avoiding long waits or unnecessary searching for space. This solution aims to reduce traffic congestion and save time.

Objectives:

 

·         Show available parking areas and slots in a selected city or zone.

·         Allow users to book a parking slot for a specific date/time.

·         Provide a timer for active parking and billing (if applicable).

·         Enable administrators to manage parking slots and availability.

 

Functional Requirements:

1.   User Registration & Login

·         Separate login for Admin and Users

·         Profile management for users

2.Parking Slot Management (Admin):

·         Add/Edit/Delete parking locations and number of slots

·         Mark slots as available or occupied (manual or automated)

3.   Parking Slot Booking (User):

·         View list/map of nearby parking spots

·         Book slot by selecting location, time, and duration

·         Get confirmation and estimated time-to-arrive

4.   Booking History & Timer:

·         User can view previous and current bookings

·         Timer shows ongoing parking session

·         Simple bill calculation based on duration (optional)
